Despite being placed in a tricky section alongside Italy, Croatia and Albania at Euro 2024, Spain won all three group games to nil en route to being crowned European champions. Lamine Yamal, Rodri and Pedri are among the world’s best footballers and it should be another easy route to the knockouts for La Roja. An unbeaten qualification campaign saw Luis de la Fuente’s side run riot as they scored 21 goals across their six games, and it is hard to see anybody in this weak group keeping La Roja at bay for too long. Spain go into the tournament as the team to beat and everything looks to be falling into place for them to claim a second world title.
